I’d Love to Hear

Your Story…

Every individual, male or female, possesses a distinct narrative to share—a personal tale of how anxious thoughts and depression have shaped their life, the process of learning to form connections, the journey toward intimacy, and the obstacles encountered along the way. Therapy offers a pathway to reinforce your bonds, cultivate self-compassion, and reassemble the scattered puzzle pieces, allowing you to turn a new page in the book of your life.

My purpose is to listen carefully to your story, be present with you, and understand your heart, mind, and body’s response.

I value and am compassionate about building positive and reality-based intimacy expectations. No two trees are the same - as no two persons are the same.

Though I respect my learned methods of counseling, I am committed to creating a sound therapeutic process, tailored to the unique needs of every individual and couple.

I focus on adults and couples facing relational conflict, affair recovery, intimacy therapy, sexual dysfunction, aging and life transitions, self-compassion/confidence, anxiety, depression, grief, divorce, and emotional suffering.

Healing and Growth…

My approach to therapy is eclectic, it constitutes evidence-based therapy with a relational approach to cultivate personal growth using: Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Multi-Cultural, Attachment and Emotional Focused, Strengths-Based, Didactic and Experiential Therapy.

Specialities: Certified Sex Therapist (CST) | American Board of Christian Sex Therapists; Certified Prepare-Enrich Facilitator; Level 1 & 2 | Gottman Method Couples Therapist; National Certified Counselor (NCC)

Education: Master of Science | Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Embracing a faith-based practice equips my heart to serve others, while engaging in a clinical practice empowers my mind to craft effective psychological treatments. This integration of both aspects is not only essential to my identity as a Christian Counselor, but also serves as a cornerstone for providing comprehensive care.

Outside of Counseling, I love and keep sacred my relationship with my husband of over 26 years, we enjoy leading marriage classes and mentoring couples- and we adore our three children.  I engage daily in my spiritual walk with my dear Savior and sweet Friend Jesus. I am a total vegetarian FOODIE and enjoy kayaking, travel, and a good game night with friends and family. I consider myself a forever student, always ready in my heart and mind to learn and grow.

Individual Therapy

Are you feeling overwhelmed with stress or burn out, struggle with body image, lack of self-confidence, emotional dysregulation, or need help with relationships? We will work together to identify and process needs in a safe environment. You deserve to know your “self” and offer self-compassion, stand with your “values” that help guide you, and “identify your emotions” to help you express your needs.

Couples & Marriage Therapy

Whether you are considering engagement, interested in pre-marital counseling, or have been married for a while, relational care is intentional and therapy can help build strong bridges to one another’s hearts. Counseling can help couples communicate effectively, understand and change conflict cycles, bond, learn new relationship skills, and process forgiveness to find healing.

Sex Therapy

My specialties in sex therapy include, but are not limited to: Inhibited Sexual Desire, Male and Female Sexual Health, Sexual Identity, Body Awareness, Sexual Pain, Same-Sex Attraction, Sexual Addiction.

In session with me, your intimacy journey starts with understanding and reframing intimacy as a Playground. Let’s have fun!

Understanding what is loaded in our mental backpack is important to process through. Specific messaging from early experiences, parental affection, social media influence, exposure to sexual images (ie. pornography)…isn’t it time to rebuild your SEXUAL CULTURE and redefine your sexual language?
